9th International Day of Yoga-2023 was celebrated at Prerana Conventional Hall, Shivamogga on 21st June 2023. Dharmadhikari Poojya Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade presided over the function. Sri.Manmaharaj Niranjan Jagadguru Dr. Mallikarjuna Murugarajendra Mahaswamy, Bekkina Kalmata, Shimoga blessed the gatherings. Sri B S Yediyurappa, Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri B Y Raghavendra, MP, Shimoga Constituency were the Chief Guests of the function. Sri. Chenna Basappa, MLA, Sri S Rudregouda, MLC, Govt of Karnataka and Sri Anil Kumar S S, Chief Operating Officer, SKDRDP, were the special Invitees of the program. Dr. Prashanth Shetty, Principal, SDMCNYS welcomed the gathering.and Dr, Shivaprasad Shetty, CMO, SDM Yoga & Nature Cure Hospital, Shanthivana, Dharmasthala thanked everyone. More than a thousand students & Publics participated in yoga demonstration. Kumari Sandhya M S., from Sagar was awarded the prestigious ‘Yoga Ratna-2023’ award given by Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala for a talent that has accomplished an international milestone in yoga. Two of our BNYS students Mr. Santhosh & Ms Sowmya were felicitated for completing Student research project with RGUHS research grant.
