29th GRADUATION CEREMONY

29thGraduation Daywas celebrated at MathrushreeRathnammaHeggadde auditorium on 08th July 2023. Sri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Dakshina Kannada District in-charge was the chief guest for the program. After distributing certificates to outgoing graduates & postgraduates, In his convocation addresshe said that state government will focus largely on developing traditional systems of medicine like Naturopathy, Ayuruveda and Yoga. Health is an important concept and during these times of environmental crisis, we should cultivate a different approach and lifestyle. Apart from physical fitness, mental and spiritual well-being is also important. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah himself practices yoga and promotes traditional systems of medicine. Dr. Veerendra Heggade is a pioneer in the field of naturopathy and so far 2000 students have graduated from this college which is a great contribution of the nation. Those who graduate today must have a keen interest in research in the field, while practicing and promoting it increasingly the minister advised graduates. He further talked about the different diseases like strokes and cancer that is becoming common among the youngsters. “Our food habits and way of life is inviting these diseases. We should therefore change our lifestyle and choose naturopath. With its demand increasing by the day, we should promote it for a healthy society”, he added.

Dr. D. VeerendraHeggade, Dharmadhikari, Shri KshetraDharmasthala and Rajya Sabha Member presided over the function & in his presidential speech he said that graduates to be ambassadors of the naturopathy treatment system. CM Siddaramaiah earlier underwent a naturopathy treatment at Shanthivana. Similarly it is high time we embraced old treatment systems and natural ways of living. We should also indulge in physical activities that would keep up fit and healthy.
