About

The under-graduate courses at SDMCNYS aim at recognizing the health needs of the community to carry out professional obligations ethically and in keeping with the objectives of the national health policy. It functions to develop the skills the competencies required to deliver Naturopathy and Yoga health care system.

The courses enable a student to expertly diagnose and manage common diseases and health problems of individuals as well as community, and work with the health team as a fully qualified doctor at primary, secondary or tertiary levels, with his/her clinical experience and skills in history, physical examination and relevant investigations.

The courses motivate the students to be proficient in promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative medicine and therapy for common health issues.

Duration

Duration of the course shall be 5 ½ years (Five and half years). The course shall include a period of regular study of four and a half (4 ½) years, followed by a compulsory rotatory internship of one year.

            Intake –  120 students per year

Eligibility

Pass in 12th standard/ PUC with 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
