On the eve of the upcoming International Yoga Day, to draw global attention towards  yoga, SDM College of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences & Hospital, Ujire in association with the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, and Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi jointly organised free yoga camps in different venues of Udupi taluk. The programme was concluded by celebrating Yoga Mahotsav on 18 April 2024 at a historical place,MakkekattuShri Nandikeshwara Temple, Brahmawar, Udupi. Dr. Mamatha Ballal, Ph.D., FIMSA, Professor, Dept. of Microbiology, Energic Diseases Division, KMC Manipal, was the chief guest and inaugurated the function. The president of the programme Dr. Prashanth Shetty, Principal, SDMCNYS, welcomed the gathering. Sri. Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, Chairman, Shri Nandikeshwara Temple, Mekkekattu, was a guest of honour of the function.
