10th International Day of Yoga-2024 was celebrated at Amruthavarshini Sabhabhavana, Dharmasthala on 21st June 2024. Dharmadhikari Poojya Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade presided over the function. Dr, John Ebnezar, MBBS, DNB, Orthodepic Surgeon, Parimala Health Care Services, Bangaluru, Padmashri Awardee, Dr. K B Lingegowda, MBBS, MD, FIPM, Vice Chancellor, Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher education (Deemed to be University), Tumkur, Karnataka were the Chief Guests of the function. Sri. K Prathapasimha Nayak, MLC, Karnataka, Dr. D Satheeshchandra S, Secretary, SDME Society ®, Ujire were the special Invitees of the program. Dr. Prashanth Shetty, Principal, SDMCNYS welcomed the gathering and Dr, Shivaprasad Shetty, CMO, SDM Yoga & Nature Cure Hospital, Shanthivana, Dharmasthala thanked everyone. More than a thousand students & Publics participated in yoga demonstration. Ms. Kushi., from Mysuru, was awarded the prestigious ‘Yoga Ratna-2024’ award given by Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala for a talent that has accomplished an international milestone in yoga. Our alumni, Dr. Ashwath Hegde and Dr. Achyuthan Eshwar, were awarded with the Yoga Excellence and Naturopathy Excellence awards, respectively for their great achievements in the field.
